Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a restful winter break. We are ready for a busy semester!   Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 13.  Students will be MAP testing January 17, 18, and 19.  No school January 16.  Students will be receiving bluegrass music lessons as they participate in BITS (Bluegrass in the Schools) the week of January 23 - 27, culminating with a Bluegrass Music assembly on Friday, January 27th, at 10:00 a.m.

Report Cards

Report cards will be sent home on Monday, October 24.  Please keep everything that is in the envelope.  Sign the envelope and return the next day.  Thank you.

Academic Team Champions

Multiplication Tests

Keep working on multiplication facts. The highest test grade of each nine weeks will be averaged with all other math grades. Tests are planned for September 16, September 23, and September 30. Students who have earned 90% or higher will receive a certificate, a soft drink from me, their star is hung in the hall, and there will be a special treat at the end of the nine weeks!

Multiplication Test on Friday

Study the basic multiplication facts 0 - 9. Multiplication tests are given weekly. The highest grade during the nine-weeks will be put in to the computer to be averaged with other math grades.

Each classroom teacher will hold three 30-minute sessions to go over any helpful grade level/school information. This information will be especially beneficial to those parents who have more than one student attending Sutton. We hope that this Parent Informational Night answers all the questions that you might have in order to make this a successful school year at Sutton Elementary.
